ANG PILIPINAS UG AKO ni Charliemaigne L Cadiz

Pilipinas, lugar na ako nagdako.
Abunda kaayo sa maayong tao.
Kugihan, buotan, pinoy! kami jud to.
Maong ang mga dayo ganahan namo.

Mga bisita, among pag-atimanon.
Ilang gustohon among pagatumanon.
Di sila magmahay sa among pagkaon.
Mga isda presko, lami jud tulahon.

Among mga prutas asta jud lamia.
Tanan pwede mukaon tiguwang bata.
Kung ikaw mukaon pirti ka sariwa.
Cge na! palit na! basin mahutdan ka!

Dagat, bukid, suba, sapa ug uban pa.
Ginabalik-balikan gayud sa masa.
Tanan imoha na gayud na Makita.
Diri amoang pinakagwapong nasod.

Ang pinoy specialty namo ang adobo.
Ikaw makatilaw mura kag mulobo.
Mao kami mga gwapa ug gwapo.
Tungod sa kalami sa among adobo.

Pinas, mao na ang "Pearl of The Orient Seas"
Mga tao, ngisi japon bisag krisis.
Unya unsa paman inyong gihulat miss?
Dali namo! ayaw nalang gud ug tabis.

Kay kini ginabalewala man nato kuno.

Daghan ang gustong mangawat sa atong bahandi
Kining taga laing nasod kung maibog pirti
Mao naghimo sila’g dautang plano diri

Kita diri man gihapon ang maoy mag sunod.

Asa na karon gibutang ang maong hustisya?
Ngano gipasagdan lang kining mga butanga?
Kanus-a pa man ta manglihok mga higala?
Kung kitang tanan mga Pilipino sakop na?

Kining mga opisyales na murag bungol man
Asa na karon inyong mga panaad tanan?
Imbis na atong nasod maoy inyong tabangan
Gisamutan ra man hinuon ninyo ug dut-an.

Ngano akong makita puro lang man kalisod?

Akong natawhan ug ilado jud kana
Daghan ang naapektohan katawhanan
Ug usa ko ato sa naapektohan

Lahi-lahi ng sakuna ni agi sa
Lugar na akong natawhan ug dili na
Unta ni mausab ug masinati sa
Katawhan kung gi alaga ang kalikasan

Gobyerno naga pamalakad sa nasod
Pero dili tarung ilang pamalakad
kung kadugo ikaw dapat ang mosunod
Sa ilahang pwesto angay ba kana.

Dapat siguro mamili tag kinsa ang
Angay para sa atong gobyerno karun
Dili dapat mag padala sa timtasyun
Kay kita lang ang ilang ginaatik ron

Dapat mahimung responsabli na tao
Kay sa karun dili jud makita na
Nag asinso ang atung lugar para sa
Ako lang dapat na mo aksyon nata

Rebelde o Opisyales sa pulisya
Kang kinsa man jud responsibilidad nga
Sa katawhan nga naay lalis bahin sa
Lahing lahing gubot nasinati sa tao

Pamatasan
Ang pamatasan sa akong pagkinabuhi
Pamatasan akoang pinaka-importante
Sa dugay sa akong pagkinabuhi dire
Dungag nakong nahunahunaan, makusganon

Mas labaw pa kaysa kamatuoran
Kaysa pag-iskwela, kaysa kagahapon
Kaysa kabtangan, kaysa nangapanghitabo
Kaysa kapakyasan, kadaugan.

Kaysa unsa ubang tawo mahunahunaan
Mas importante kaysa presensya, sa masulti
O mabuhat, kasinatian o kahibalo
Sa kompanya, sa simbahan o sa panimalay.

Mahitungod sa pamatasan adlaw-adlaw
Dili nato mausab ang kamatuoran
Tawo sa lain laing pamaagi mabuhat
Kadaugan

Pamatasan kinahanglan atong ampingan
Sa atong pagkinabuhi naa tay pagpugong
Kasingkasing mapaubsanon, malipayon
Atong Ginoo kahitas-an mapahimut-an

Lalaki Karon ug sauna
By: Almida G. Antolin

Sa unang panahon laki tan awonon
Pero naunsa naman  ang laki karon
Gamay nalang tawon ang ma ihap karon
Ang uban mailad ka macho tan awon

Pero ang uyab puros laki intawon
Kung maka-agbay murag di paulion
Naay uban, pa laki laki lang japon
Pero pagbantay kay ikaw higugmaon

Dunay uban laki sa unang panahaon
Pero karon babae kayo tan awon
Naay uban dili pa mutug-an karon
Pero hulata lang mag make-up na puhon

Ang mga lalaki daw sa unang panahon
Kusgan, isug ug gwapo, baliktad karon
Way kusog, talawan ug gwapa na karon
Pero dl na sila basta basta karon

Kay Tungod nagadaghan na sila karon
Pag tan aw og TV sikat sila karon
Pero dawat na nato na sila karon
Mao dili nato na sila biyaon

Sila usab tao sa kalibutan
Way gibuhat na dautan sa katawhan
Dili na sila ang salot sa katawhan

Angay ba O Dili Angay Ibutang ang K+12 Policy sa Pilipinas?
By: Medel Andrada

Klaripikasyon una pa mag away ang tanan
Manghinaut ko nga kamo naay matunan
Pag bag-o alang sa atong nasud nagkinahanglan
niini nga makabenepisyo sa sunod nga kaliwatan

Ang akong inahan, amahan, mag-uuma
Igong kita tama na sila
Dugangan ang ilang mga pag-antos pa
labaw nga mahal nga bahin sa pamilya

Oras ikaw kawatan

Dabaw-INYO Original poem by Ria

Dabaw-INYO Original poem by Ria

Kana atong siyang tagsa- tagsaon  ug adto.

Sama sakisol o orchids ug isdang tuna.

Naa pay durian, copra ug abaka,

Dili matupungan kiningka-abunda.

Biography
I am Ria Pascual, a Student of AMA Computer College, taking up Bachelor of Science Major in Information Technology and student of English 7 Philippine Literature under Mr. Michael Mendez. I am really fond of reading books, especially about Science Fiction because I do love to learn new things, going far through my imagination. I also read books about Gat. Jose Rizal because  I really want to learn about our history, mostly about our National hero’s life and what  he came through before being a hero of our country, and also about how the Spaniards, Americans, and Magellan conquered our country and how our fellow Filipinos fought for our freedom. I love everything about our literature, our history because it mirrors what our country is today, and we should be thankful of what they did for us. And lastly I am really into watching documentaries about the happenings in our country. To keep me aware and knowledgeable about our own, to be able to know what to do if I encounter such happenings in my life.

If I would be asked which would I pick, of which book I’ll read, local or foreign? I would really pick local, because I firmly believe of encouraging our fellow Filipinos to put more importance of what we have than what they have and we need to love our country, as we love ourselves.

Analysis
For years, the prevailing narrative that came to define Davao City in the media was wholly incomplete. Much of what was portrayed was depictions of neighborhoods that bore the brunt of the industrial collapse. What was missing were the stories of people living in great neighborhoods, amongst great neighbors, and wouldn’t think of living anywhere else.
It seemed as though few people outside of the city knew anything about the breathtaking architecture, the vibrant culture churning in the city’s center, or the gorgeous homes nestled just north of downtown. There were thousands of people who loved and championed Davao City, but their voices weren’t being heard. Now, I wrote the poem to express what I have observed about our city and erase the misconceptions about our city, Davao City. I am aware and saw the city’s immeasurable accomplishments and success. It shows in many government or private data and statistics that Davao is one of the best performing cities in the world. Davao is indeed a very safe and very peaceful city. There is no discrimination. Most people abide the law. The place is very dangerous for the "Criminals", absolutely dangerous for them. If you do bad things in Davao, you will either leave the city horizontally or vertically.  Davao, has a slogan that “life is here” for good people and "life ends here for the criminals".  Davao really never fails to impress me every single day.  I am proud to be a Davaoena, I am proud of what our officials did to our city, and also to the Davaoenos who really exerts their own efforts into improving our city

No place in the world can guarantee safety of everyone all the time, Davao City is not perfect, but I can proudly say that it is the best in so many ways.
